Herrmann.jpg (45021 bytes)Louisa Augusta Modrow, daughter of Gottlieb August Johann Modrow and Johanna Frank was the first wife of Franz Alex Max Herrmann. They were married 08 November 1906 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She died 10 May 1917 in Corcoran, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Louisa was born 08 February 1884 in Corcoran, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The informant for Louisa's death certificate was her husband Franz Herrmann. He states that his residence is in Hamel, Hennepin County, Minnesota. 

Louisa's parents came to the United States from Germany leaving through the port of Hamburg. Gottlieb Modrow was born in Ekstein, Bromberg Stadt, Posen, Germany and Johanna Frank was born in Nathin, Pommerin, Germany. 

Baptism: 12 October 1884. Lousia's sponsor at her baptism was H. Krueger.

Confirmation: Confirmed 1898 at the Salem Lutheran Church, Loretto, Minnesota

Marriage notes: Sponsors at wedding were Albert Emil Modrow and Laura Herrmann

Burial: 13 May 1917, St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota

He married (1) Eileen Bosworth Lancaster abt. 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts daughter of Walter Lancaster and Annie Laura Dall. Eileen was born 22 June 1906 and died 29 July 1967 in Seattle, Washington. Richard married (2) Esther S. Fazio abt. 1969 in Seattle, Washington. She was born 24 January 1911 in Idaho and died 19 December 1993 in Federal Way, Washington.

Eileen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and became naturalized through marriage to Max Richard. Her father was from England.

Max Richard Herrmann and Eileen Bosworth Lancaster had six children. Four children are still living. 1.  Living child married living spouse.  2.  Elizabeth Herrmann born 25 March 1930 and died October 2001, married Everett Wesly Jenkins born 10 June 1919 and died 22 January 1993. 3.  Living child married living spouse. 4.  Sandra Eileen Herrmann, b. July 28, 1941, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota; d. February 25, 2015, Everett Washington.. 5. Loran Herrmann was born 20 October 1943 and died 07 March 1944. 6.  Living child married living spouse.

2. Frieda Louisa Herrmann was born 23 August 1913 in Hennepin County, Minnesota and died 20 March 1915 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. 

Notes for Frieda Louisa:

"THE ANOKA UNION PAPER, 24 March 1915"

"The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Herrmann of the town of Corcoran, Hennepin County, died March 20th at Klein's Sanitarium. The parents thinking the child had a bone caught in her throat hurried with her to a doctor. It proved to be a severe case of Croup and the child died the next day. The age of the child was 18 months."

Per Max Richard Herrmann, Frieda's brother: "My father Max ran his horse to death trying to get Frieda to a doctor in town thinking she was choking to death on a bone when eating supper."

Burial: 22 March 1915, St. Johns Lutheran, Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

olga herrmann.jpg (25044 bytes)Olga Threne Hansen daughter of Olav Hansen and Barbara Andersen was the second wife of Franz Alex Max Herrmann. They were married 30 January 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born 15 December 1885 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and died 15 September 1960 in Anoka, Minnesota.

Olga's father Olav Hensen, was born in Oslo, Norway and mother Barbara Andersen was born in Redwing, Wisconsin. They later moved to Minnesota.

Olga lived near her two daughters until she had to go to a nursing home a couple of years prior to her death.

1. Gladyce Furru was born 11 October 1912 and died in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married Wallace Neumann. Wallace was born 07 October 1908 and died in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Gladyce was killed in an auto accident in the 1980's.

Note: Gladyce Furru and Max Richard Herrmann came into the marriage of Olga Hansen and Franz Alex Max Herrmann as young children from different marriages.

Wallace Neumann and Gladyce Furru had three living children and one deceased child, Wallace Neumann Jr.

More on Wallace and Gladyce:

Wallace Sr. got cancer in his 50's and died from it. He was an airline pilot.

 

Wallace Jr. was a helicopter pilot in the military and was killed on his way back to the base when a farmer pulled out into the roadway and hit him.

2. Harvey Howard Herrmann was born 12 June 1923 in Hennepin County, Minnesota and died January 1987 in West Covina, California. He married Living Herrmann in Minneapolis, Minneosta.

Harvey worked for the North American Aircraft Company in California through the 1960's and 1970's. Harvey worked on the Apollo moon project and Space Shuttle.

Harvey Howard Herrmann and Living Herrmann spouse had six children all of whom are still living. 1. Living child married living spouse. 2.  Living child.  3.  Living child married living spouse.  4. Living child married living spouse. 5.  Living child married living spouse. 6.  Living child married living spouse.
